MOM FILES: PARENTING TIP

I won't even get into Andy's behavior this morning, let's just say, it was the most polite. Anyway, when it was time to leave the house, he didn't want to budge. He put on his sad face and made it seem like every step caused him tremendous pain and agony. The kids often race to see who can be the first to get wherever we are going so I decided to see if that would work. First one to the car is a rotten egg! He totally went for it and we raced to the car. Then the pain and agony reappeared when we got to the school so I initiated another race. Score! So, in case you did catch on, the tip is:

When your child is giving you  a hard time while you're trying to leave the house, just start a race. They'll fall for it every time. This is especially easier when siblings are involved.
