MOM FILES: CASE OF THE MORNING BREATH

Does my son's nose work? I mean, can he differentiate between good smells and bad smells?  Does that take a while to develop in children?  I'm wondering because he has a tendency to snuggle right up to my face, nose to mouth, and whisper in the morning.  Is this considered parent cruelty? I can only hold my breath for so long.  Don't they have a child guide that forbids this kind of act?  Its not just the toddler doing it either, the "big" kids are just as guilty.  I feel like I'm being violated!
