WEEKEND MISHAP

I stated in a previous blog that I wanted celebrity underarms, with this in mind I attempted to wax my own underarms yesterday.  BIG MISTAKE! Ok, the actual waxing process wasn't THAT bad.  I mean, I wasn't successful, but it wasn't painful or anything.  It was messy as hell and I couldn't really rub the strip good enough to get the hairs and wax to stick to it, probably because I had wax everywhere else on my hands and whatnot.  So after a couple of failed attempts I decided to throw in the towel and clean up.  That was an impossible task! I washed and scrubbed and rubbed oil everywhere, but the wax would not leave! You'd think at this would discourage me from playing with it some more huh? Well it didn't! I wanted to know how it would be to wax my legs, so yeah I went there! I waxed a section of one leg.  Yes, just a section of one leg.  I discovered that was much easier to do and I know for sure I could do that on my own.  So I came to the conclusion that underarm waxing should be left to the professionals.

BUT THE STORY DOESN'T END THERE!

Seeing as how I let the hair grow a bit under my arms for this experiment, and I was unsuccessful at waxing them, I figured I might as well do what I normally do and use my depilatory.  BAD IDEA! I swear I must have been having a blonde moment because the instructions clearly state not to use this on broken skin! *sigh* Unfortunately I discovered this the hard way.  Totally forgetting that I some hair was removed from under my arm, which probably mean some skin was removed too, I applied the depilatory.  Let me tell you guys, it burned like hell!  My eyes opened wide and I swear I couldn't get to my washcloth fast enough to wipe this stuff off of me! To add insult to injury, I was using hot water to take it off.  Yeah, that's a bad idea too! I was just making mistake after mistake.  I finally turned on the cold water, but it was too late.  The damage was done and I was in pain for the rest of the day.  Scared as hell of becoming musty because there was no way I was going to apply deodorant, and I still had hair under my arms! Can we say DISASTER?

BUT THE STORY DOESN'T END THERE!

I know, you're probably wondering how could there by anymore, right? Well I discovered that sweat further irritates what has become a rash now.  I'm ready to chop my left arm off, it's hot as hell outside, I'm wearing a black shirt, and I have a million errands to run.  At some point I stop back at my house and remember that I have aloe vera gel in the bathroom.  That's supposed to soothe irritated skin right? I'm thinking OH YEAH I'm about to get some relief. NOT! When I applied the gel, my skin burned more than when I put the depilatory on! So now I'm really feeling like I've lost in life.  But on the brighter side, I'm not in pain anymore today and the rash has disappeared.  The question that remains is, should I attempt to remove the hair today?
