I was catching up on my Oprah's lifeclass shows tonight and the episode with Paula Deen where she talks about taking control of your life and owning up to your responsibilities. I can't tell you how perfect this show was today. I mean this spoke volumes to me! If you know me, you know I can come up with an excuse for any and everything. I believe I inherited this from a parent of mine, but that's neither here nor there. The point is, if I can come up with excuses why something can't work, I should be able to come with excuses why it can. After that, I should be able to make it happen, whatever it may be. With that in mind, I finally finished filling out this paper for school and I'm set to start in January. Finishing my undergraduate degree is only one piece of my puzzle. I also have an idea for car manufacturers that will not only be helpful for us as consumers, but it also goes along with that whole green thing the country is trying to do. I also have a few children stories I would love to see published with animation done by my talented husband (or sister-in-law). I've had a few crazy dreams I'd like to see on the big screen, even if it's only on the big screen in my living room. My point is, there are a million things I would like to see come to fruition in my life and now is a better time than ever to put all these things into motion. No one is going to give me anything, I have to get out there and get it myself. It's crazy to hear that Paula Deen turned $200 into $20 million! I don't know how I'm going to make all of these things happen, but they are going to happen.
On a side not, I had someone in my company who could really benefit from stories like this. They are going to through such a rough time right now, but not quite ready to receive helpful information. I just wish they could have been open to this show and take from it what I was able to, inspiration.
