During my family vacation in Palm Springs, I noticed that I kept apologizing for my kids splashing people or constantly saying "watch out!" On our last day, I was lounging with my mom in the pool as my little one splashed around and she told him to watch out and apologized to the people. I looked at her and said, "Do you notice no one else is saying anything to their kids?" Everyone was just allowing their kids to be kids. From that point on, I made a vow not to stop my kids from doing what kids do in pools, SPLASH! Why should my kids bare the burden of monitoring their behavior because I think it might upset someone else? If they are in a kid friendly environment, let them have the privilege of doing kid stuff as long as it won't cause harm to anyone else. Lesson, learned.

LET'S GO DODGERS, LET'S GO!
My husband got free tickets to tonight's dodger game so we went along with my mom. I love free anything! I had on my dodger gear to represent and had a great time. I don't know if you guys noticed or not, but you can see my mom getting closer and closer to the field throughout the pictures. We had great seats, right behind the home plate, which was awesome. I had to be brave and avoid all of the "good" food because I am on a diet, hence the healthy plate picture. We all mentioned how every time we come to a game, we always lose. Well tonight, we WON! It was so much fun hanging out with real fans and just being in that atmosphere. Now, I'm just trying to decide if I'm a Ramirez fan or a Puig fan.

DIY- SHORT LOUNGE SET AND PATTERN REVIEW
I worked on this lounge wear short set all week. Ok, I started one day earlier this week, stared at it the other days, and decided to finish it today. I absolutely love the print and I thought of relaxing in the house on a warm summer day when I bought it. Unfortunately, the bottoms were a bit tight on me so I decided to give it up. I'm no seamstress and I tend to be in denial of my true measurements. I used McCall's pattern M6848. It was very easy to follow and I plan on using it again. I opted out of the binding on the arms because I was being lazy, but it still turned out great! I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now and I hope the new owner loves it just as much as I do.
